There's something that happens in Lewisville every spring that we genuinely look forward to. Keep Lewisville Beautiful rallies hundreds of volunteers to clean up parks, creek beds, roadways, and green spaces across the city. They've been doing it for 34 years now. 10,000 volunteer hours a year. 30 tons of trash pulled from the community. That's not a photo-op — that's real love for where you live.
This year, they're part of the 2026 North Texas Community Cleanup Challenge — cities across the region competing to see who can remove the most litter through May 31. As the Lewisville Leader wrote about it, the community always shows up big. We've got clients all over Lewisville, and we see that pride firsthand.
But Here's the Thing
The parks can be spotless, the medians can look incredible, but if the yards on your block are rough — dead grass, overgrown shrubs, beds full of last year's dead annuals — it pulls the whole neighborhood down. We're not saying that to be harsh. We're saying it because we see it, and we see how fast it changes when one house on a street gets a proper cleanup. Suddenly the neighbor's out edging. The guy across the street calls us. Curb appeal is contagious.
Fresh mulch, clean edges, trimmed shrubs, a few flats of color in the front beds. It doesn't take much. The National Association of Realtors says professional landscaping can bump your home value 10-12%, and in Lewisville's market right now, that's real money.
Go Volunteer — Then Let Us Handle Your Yard
The big Spring Cleanup is April 11, 8 AM to noon, at the Thrive parking lot on S Valley Parkway. Group registration closes March 30, but walk-ups are welcome. Check the City of Lewisville site for details.
