Front Yard Sod Install in Carrollton
We stripped a thin, patchy front lawn down to bare soil, tilled and regraded it, and laid fresh sod across the whole yard and the parkway strip in a single day. The homeowner went from bare dirt at breakfast to a finished lawn by evening.

What the yard needed
A mature shade tree had been winning the fight with this lawn for years. Under that canopy the turf had thinned to dirt in patches, and what was left was uneven enough that mowing scalped the high spots. The parkway strip between the sidewalk and the street had gone almost entirely bare. Patching sections would have left a quilt of mismatched grass, so we took the whole front yard down and started over.
What we did
The old turf came out and got hauled off. We tilled the ground open, worked the compaction out of the North Texas clay, and reset the grade so water runs off the yard instead of pooling against the walkway. Pallets of fresh sod were staged along the curb so the crew could work straight off them without dragging pieces across prepped soil. Everything went down the same day, including the parkway strip, cut tight to the sidewalk, the driveway, and the curving bed line around the tree.
The result
One continuous lawn from the porch to the street, with clean edges against every hard surface and no seams showing once it knitted in. The homeowner left with a written watering schedule, which is the part that actually decides whether new sod makes it through a Texas summer. The after photo was taken once the lawn had rooted and had a few mows on it.
