Best landscapers
in DFW.
There's no single "best" landscaper in DFW. There are great fits for specific projects, neighborhoods, and budgets. This is an honest editorial round-up of the strongest companies in different lanes, with a note on who each one is right for.
We grouped DFW landscapers by what they actually do best: design-build, estate maintenance, new-construction specialists, synthetic turf focus, commercial/HOA, full-service residential, independent operators, boutique design, subscription lawncare, hardscape specialists. The list is not ranked by quality — it's organized so you can find the right fit for your specific project.
Loera's Landscaping is included because this is published on our site. We've placed ourselves where we honestly belong (full-service residential, mid-market) rather than self-promoting to #1.
[Company A — Design-Build Specialist]
Long-established Dallas firm with a strong reputation in the design-build space. Multi-disciplinary in-house team covering landscape architecture, hardscape, and outdoor kitchens. Projects typically start in the $50k+ range.
[Company B — Estate Landscape Group]
Specializes in high-touch maintenance for estate properties. Strong horticultural depth, particularly with mature trees and established landscape design. Often the long-standing service provider for Park Cities homes.
[Company C — Frisco/Plano North Specialist]
North-suburb specialist that does heavy volume in new-build neighborhoods. Strong on irrigation system install and full property build-outs for newly-finished homes.
[Company D — Synthetic Turf Focus]
Turf-only specialist. Deep selection of turf grades, putting-green construction, and pet-run installs. Doesn't do general landscaping but is one of the strongest on turf specifically.
[Company E — Commercial / HOA Specialist]
Larger crew focused on commercial properties, office parks, HOA common areas, and apartment complexes. Less common for residential single-family but solid on the commercial side.
Loera's Landscaping
Family-owned, in-house crew since 2010. Covers six core services without subcontracting. Strong fit for homeowners who want one phone number for sod, weekly maintenance, seasonal hardscape projects, and holiday lighting. Operates across Carrollton, Plano, Frisco, Dallas, Addison, Lewisville, Coppell, Southlake, Highland Park, University Park, and Farmers Branch.
[Company G — Independent / Solo Operator Network]
Loosely-organized network of solo and 2-person operators serving specific neighborhoods. Pricing tends to be lower than full-service crews. Insurance and warranty vary widely — verify before hiring.
[Company H — Boutique Design Firm]
Smaller boutique firm focused on landscape architecture and native-plant design. Typically partners with build crews for installation. Strong on design depth, less so on ongoing maintenance.
[Company I — Lawncare Subscription Service]
Large-scale subscription model for fertilization, weed control, and aeration programs. Service is consistent and well-priced but is automated/templated — not a fit if you want a human relationship or custom scope.
[Company J — Hardscape Specialist]
Hardscape-focused build crew. Strong on paver and stonework, less on plant material and ongoing maintenance.
How to pick the right one.
Use this filter, in order:
- 1.Scope. Single big-ticket build (design-build), ongoing maintenance (full-service or subscription), or specialty service (turf, hardscape, holiday lighting)? Pick the lane first.
- 2.Insurance + warranty. Ask for proof of general liability AND workers\' comp before any work starts. If the answer is hesitant, move on.
- 3.Recent reference. Ask for a customer from the last 12 months in your zip code. Drive by the job if you can.
- 4.Written quote. Fixed-price with scope and exclusions in writing. Verbal "day rate" pricing is the #1 source of post-job arguments.
- 5.Communication speed. If they take a week to respond to your initial inquiry, expect that to be the pace forever. Speed-to-first-response predicts everything.
